Dr. Steven L. Jones,
Advisory Board Member
Steve currently serves as Director of Global Theological Training for Hamoreh Ministries, an organization that trains pastors in hard-to-reach places in East Africa. He previously served as Teaching & Training Pastor at Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, TX.
Steve is also a professor. He has taught at various universities, including Rice University, Trinity University, The University of Texas, Baylor, and Houston Christian University. He also teaches New Testament Greek at Lanier Theologiocal Library.
Steve earned a BA in Greek and Latin from Baylor University, an MA in Greek, Latin, and Classical Studies from Bryn Mawr (pronounced: Brin Mar) College, an M.Div from Houston Theological Seminary, and a PhD in Classics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Steve has authored several books, including two books on the subject of the Greek and Latin roots of Medical Terminology entitled Acquiring Medical Langage and Medical Language accelerated, both published by McGraw Hill.
Steve has been married to his wife, Tamber since 2001 and they have six children. Steve loves taking road trips with his family and exploring cities to find new places to eat. When not doing that, you can usually find him on his porch grilling, drinking ice-cold Dr. Pepper, and watching His kids play in the yard.
