Hannah Biederer
Katy Classical Academy is a place like no other. I’m not sure how I went thirty years of my life without KCA, or taught for eight years at any other school. The community is welcoming, uplifting, Christ-like, and wildly different (in the best ways) than what I was used to in public school. The content and learning is rigorous, and every subject meshes together in a way I wish I had experienced growing up! It’s the perfect blend of Jesus, family, and passionate lifelong learning skills for anyone wanting to homeschool but not wanting to do it alone.
The Brown Family
We have been fortunate enough to be a part of the KCA family for over 3 years. This homeschool/private school hybrid has been a fantastic fit for us and allowed for more meaningful learning experiences, community, enrichment opportunities and accountability (for my children AND us – the parents!)
Experiencing education through a classical model surrounded by fellow believers has enhanced our homeschool experience in immeasurable ways. The teachings from a biblical worldview with an emphasis on history and literature have been a game changer for all of our learning and have fostered rich family discussions where we can all participate!
We have been blessed to partner with KCA and are forever grateful to all the passionate teachers and administrators who have invested countless hours into this program and our children.
Alumni Highlight: William Ennis
William, now a junior studying biochemical engineering at Baylor University, attended KCA in 2022–2023 and is currently doing research in additive manufacturing and 3D printing.
He shared that the community he found at KCA has profoundly shaped his college journey. Learning to think critically and speak with clarity in the rhetoric stage helped him grow not only in knowledge but in understanding. The interactive, faith-filled environment deepened his joy for learning—and the foundation of truth he gained at KCA continues to guide him today.
With technology advancing faster than ever, William hopes every student could experience a school like KCA—one that encourages independent thought, problem-solving, and a lifelong love of learning.
He’s also an amazing example of joining KCA later in high school! If you have an upper-level student and wonder if it’s “too late,” take it from William—it’s never too late, and the investment is worth it.
